Is it possible? Could it be possible that we’re done with all the rain we’ve been having? Is it that summer is getting here? I do believe that’s the case. Looking forward to the hot days and warm nights with a little of maybe bitching about the hot days and loss of aircraft performance. But for now let’s enjoy every minute of every day living in Paradise. Where else in world can you have the freedom we have to enjoy the fruit of our work and hobbies with good friends. While we’re waiting for those happy days of summer, and if WWIII hasn’t started, we have the opportunity to get together with good friends to celebrate life living in Paradise at TGIF dinners at regular time 7:00 pm get together will be at Champagnes Bistro & Deli, at the corner of MacArthur Blvd and Bison Ave. Check out their menu at Champagneskitchenoc.com. They also have a great collection of wine and spirits. They will have the patio reserved for us.

It’s spring time in our Paradise. Still getting those April showers and the hills are beginning to show the color of wild flowers. It seems that the showers are also predicted this weekend as well. Summer isn’t all that far and soon it will be here again. I look forward to the long days and consistent warmer weather. Another thing that is also consistent is getting together with good friends at our weekly TGIF dinners.

So Come and join us at tonight’s TGIF dinner at 7:00 pm at Mario’s Pizza at 4507 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach. 949.722.7151. They are at the corner of PCH and Balboa Blvd. There’s no corkage fee so bring your favorite bottle and join us for another dinner with good friends. I hope most of you will be able join us.

Hi all, the forecast is calling for rain again this Saturday so we are aborting our scheduled mission and instead, we will gather again at Henry’s hangar at noon.

Thanks Henry, for hosting us again.

Please bring your favorite lunch and a portable chair, we will meet at high noon, 12pm, Saturday, April 14th. If you wake up feeling generous, please bring some goodies to share with everyone; chips, donuts, fruits, cookies, or whatever. No pressure, come as you are with your own is fine as always. If you do not have gate access at SNA, please reach out to me, Marty, Henry, or others based here at John Wayne.

Thanks. See you there.

The old saying goes as: ‘March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers’. Should that saying hold, we will be covered with flowers up to our necks. As for me, I look forward to ‘tip toe thru the tulips playing my ukulele’. The pressure will be on our Airboss to take us where we’ll get a chance to enjoy those flowers when they get here. You can’t argue with the fact that we’ve been getting more than our share of rain and wind. I wouldn’t be surprised if we are told we are faced with draught come summer time again. For now, it’s nice to see to see all the reservoirs full. It’s also Friday, which means another chance of getting together with good friends and celebrate our good fortune and life in Paradise at tonight’s celebration. Dinner will be at regularly scheduled 7 pm at Kalaveras located at 803 Dove Street. It’s at the corner of Dove and Bristol. It used to be a Cocos and we used to go there 20 years ago. Check out their menu at NEWPORT BEACH – Kalaveras . Their happy hour is till 7 pm and they have an extensive menu during that time. I look forward to seeing you there.
