Southern California truly is a haven for general aviation enthusiasts. With endless miles of stunning coastal landscapes, majestic mountains, and breathtaking views of our vibrant cityscapes, it's a flying paradise. These aerial vistas are nothing short of awe-inspiring, a gift from the skies above.

Welcome to OCFC, the Orange County Flying Club. We invite you to explore our community, and if you're a pilot, we extend a warm invitation to join us in our Forum section. We're eager to hear about your flying adventures and share our own.

Our group comprises private pilots from various Southern California airports, including John Wayne Airport (KSNA), Fullerton (KFUL), Chino (KCNO), Corona (KAJO), Cable (KCCB), Oceanside (KOKB), and more. Our journey began many years ago at KSNA, where a few of us gathered regularly for flights that mostly explored the beauty of Southern California. While we've undertaken some long cross-country adventures in and out of the state, those were unique missions led by individual pilots. Over the course of four decades, our group has expanded organically, thanks to word-of-mouth within the aviation community. In recent outings, we've witnessed as many as 13 aircraft with over 15 aviation enthusiasts aboard.

As you can see from our documented flights, our main mission is to savor life to the fullest, relishing good food and fostering camaraderie. Our fleet boasts a rich variety of aircraft, from the vintage 1938 Piper Cub to the sleek Lancair Legacy and Evolution, with Bonanzas, Cessnas, Cirrus aircraft, Diamonds, and Pipers in between.

We're an unchartered, informal, and unofficial gathering of private pilots who fly for the sheer joy of it and the thrill of social interaction. Our pilots generously volunteer their time to coordinate our activities, including maintaining this website. While our group encompasses a wide range of experience levels, from retired and active professional pilots to newly licensed private pilots, we don't provide flight training services or aviation advice. We're not an aviation service provider. If you decide to join us for one of our events or flights, you do so at your own discretion and assume the role of the Pilot in Command, flying at your own risk. Your safety and well-being are of paramount importance to us, and we encourage responsible decision-making during your participation.

Join us in exploring the skies and creating lasting memories, all while upholding a spirit of adventure and safety that defines our unique flying community.
